As a punk listener, I used to laugh off a prog rock album as a collection of pretentious assholes making a little noise as expensively as possible. This is not the case. In The Court Of The Crimson King isn't just a fun, novel little album, but in fact managed to open me up to an entirely new genre of music that can be beautiful and powerful.
